In January 2017 our Corporate Events & Incentives Team headed off for a weekend in Madrid with the aim of getting to know the city better while scoping out it‘s potential for future Incentive Trips and Events. We enjoyed three fantastic days in the Spanish capital and even had time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage location of Toledo. We would highly recommend both destinations for your next Incentive inquiry.

Madrid airport is merely a stone’s throw from the city centre where we stayed at the elegant NH Collection Madrid Suecia.  Most major tourist attractions and a large variety of enticing restaurants and Tapas Bars can be reached within minutes from the hotel, which is ideal for groups planning to include free time into their schedules.

With the assistance of our local partner España Incoming, we visited numerous top hotels and event locations – including the monumental Casino de Madrid and the authentic Café de Oriente.
Madrid makes decision making very difficult indeed for sport enthusiasts, boasting not one but two of football‘s giants of past and present in Real and Atlético Madrid. A trip to one of thier state of the art stadiums is well worth a visit. At night Madrid really gets going with tantalazing Flamenco Shows and mouth watering restaurants and Tapas Bars offering an abundance of program ideas for your groups.

Our group spent the Sunday in the ancient town of Toledo, about an hour’s drive from Madrid. A guided walk through the Christian, Muslim and Jewish quarters of the former Spanish capital, gives one a wonderful insight into how life was in this couldron where cultures intertwined and flourished. A real treat for groups with an interest in history.
